Changes again in the schedule of bank transactions




Banks in Bangladesh have once again changed the schedule of bank transactions. To prevent coronavirus infection, the government has divided different areas into red (red), yellow (yellow) and green (green) zones. There will be a general holiday in the red zone. That is why the central bank has announced to close its branches in that zone.

 On Monday (June 15), Bangladesh Bank's Department of Off-site Supervision issued a circular with instructions in this regard.
Besides, Bangladesh Bank has decided to change the transaction time of the bank from 10 am to 2 am. The bank branch can be kept open till 4 pm for performing ancillary activities of the bank after the transaction.

However, Motijheel, Dilkusha, Agrabad and Khatunganj are included in the red zone, but all the branches of the bank will be closed except these.

The directive further said that the branches of Scheduled Caste Bank located in the red zone will remain closed normally. However, if the concerned administration has any different instructions regarding keeping the branch open, it will be possible to make limited transactions from 10 am to 12 noon with limited manpower. And the bank branch can be kept open till half past one to perform ancillary activities of the bank after the transaction.

The branch of Scheduled Bank located in Yellow and Green Zone declared by the Department of Health, City Corporation, Deputy Commissioner should be kept open for all types of transactions from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and the branch can be kept open till 4:00 pm for further ancillary activities. .
