 Leipzig have secured the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League by beating Atletico Madrid. The German team won 2-1 against the La Liga team in the quarter finals.

 Danny Olmo and Tyler Adam scored one goal each for Leipzig at the Stadio Jose Albalade on Thursday. On the other hand, Joao Felix scored the only goal in Madrid's jersey.

Leipzig went ahead in the 50th minute of the match in Lisbon. Spanish midfielder Olmo scored the first goal for the team. Atletico equalized after 20 minutes. Portuguese forward Felix scored from the penalty spot.

Two minutes before the end of the scheduled time, Leipzig went ahead again. The winning goal in the 7th minute came from the feet of US midfielder Adams.

Leipzig face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the second semifinal of the best tournament in Europe on 16 August.
