First woman finance minister got India


Nirmala Sitaraman has been appointed as India's first woman finance minister. Earlier, he was in charge of the Defense Ministry of the Modi government. Nirmala performed this duties from September 2017 to May 2019.

Singapore-based press release The Straits Times said that on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chose Nirmala Sitaraman as the finance minister of his government. The former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has been given this responsibility to overcome his health due to health reasons.

Prior to that, Indira Gandhi was also the finance minister. But he was not an independent finance minister. Besides serving as the Prime Minister, the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance is moderated.

Nirmala Sitaraman took charge once in a while when India's economy is facing a lot of challenges. The problem of unemployment in the country, especially in the extreme, has reached. Analysts believe that in this situation he will have to go through difficult times.

In fact, from 2010 to 2014, Nirmala Sitaraman was the BJP spokesperson. In 2016, he became the member of the Karnataka Rajya Sabha. Earlier, from 2014 to 2016, he was a member of the Rajya Sabha from Andhra Pradesh.
